New Apartment Building -- Tom’s Run Apartments is a new, affordable, 8-unit, fully furnished apartment building near the Blairsville WyoTech Campus, which was designed to meet the needs of WyoTech students.  It is in a quiet setting with the right amount of student tenants (32) that promotes an atmosphere of developing strong friendships and learning.

Comforts – Each unit has four bedrooms (one for each student), two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, and parking for each tenant.  The bedrooms are furnished with a twin bed and mattress, dresser drawers, student desk and chair, end table, and are cable ready.  Each bathroom has a sink, vanity, toilet, and shower. The kitchen has a full set of cabinets, refrigerator, range, microwave, dishwasher, and a table with four chairs. The living room has a couch, sofa, entertainment stand, and a cable outlet.   Each unit also has a clothes washer and dryer, energy efficient gas heat, and central air. Some units are equipped for disabled persons.   Students only need to bring kitchen utensils, toiletries, bedding, and cleaning supplies.

Availability – Each unit houses four students.

Location – Tom’s Run Apartments are located at 1330 Strangford Road, Blairsville, PA.  This is approximately 2 miles (five minutes) from the Blairsville WyoTech Campus. It is also close to restaurants, convenience stores, and a Wal-Mart.   Click the above Directions link for specifics.

Monthly Rent -- $375 per student per month.   This includes utilities such as electric, gas, and water (see Lease).    Garbage and sewage are fully paid by the Owners. Cable and telephone services are paid by students. There is a $250 Security Deposit for each student.

General Requirements – For consideration, each student must complete and submit a Rental Application, a Lease Agreement, and a Parental Guarantee form (which ensures the rent will be paid and the lease enforced).  Each of these forms can be reviewed and printed by clicking on its above link. Tom’s Run Management will review student data and inform successful applicants of approval status.

Respecting Our Neighbors – This apartment building is located in a pleasant rural setting near Tom’s Run (a trout stream in the Laurel Highlands). Students are required to respect the neighbors and their privacy, maintain its quiet setting, and to drive safely to protect neighborhood children, walkers, and bicyclists.   Students who do not comply with these requirements may be evicted.
